In the third quarter of 2025, the price for phosphoric acid contract shipments to India saw a significant rise with an $105 increase per ton P2O5 from the second quarter. Jordan's JPMC agreed on a price of $1,258/mt P2O5 CFR India with Coromandel, with 30 days of credit. Senegal’s Indorama later settled a similar deal with IFFCO at the same price.
The total import volume for the first half of 2025 reached 1.71 million tons solution quantity, roughly in line with the 1.67 million tons imported during the same period in 2024. Jordan, Morocco, and Senegal continue to be the top three sources of supply.
Despite the increase in prices, the demand for phosphoric acid remains robust, driven by the firm global market and India's steady import volumes.
